Through his career, Andreas H. Bitesnich (b. Austria 1964) has given the world perfectly crafted images celebrating the human form touched with a fragrance of eroticism.Andreas H. Bitesnich is a perfectionist “the only way to fly higher than the others“, as he expresses it. By his own admission, he lives, breathes, devours photography; he learns, explores, experiments. Self-taught, he dreamed at a young age of becoming a fashion photographer. To pursue his dream, he equipped himself with a camera and a light and persuaded models to pose. In his subjects, he was looking for harmony and balance yet tension was an important ingredient too. As he puts it, “The (images) belong to an organic creative process that has to do with the fascination for the relation between body, time and space in a continual interaction of tension and balance“. Oftentimes he found what he was looking for when the models posed undressed which allowed him to capture the bodies surprisingly well with the play of light and shadow. Andreas H. Bitesnich’s approach has always been to allow for and trust his intuition. In 2001, publisher teNeues released‚ “Woman” and “Travel”, and a fourth title “On Form” in 2003. His fifth book “Polanude”, a collection of his best Polaroid’s, was released in February 2006..
